My goal for my trip into the city was to shoot isolation and stillness, however a Palestine protest flooded through New York and completely changed everything. Without thinking otherwise I pushed myself into the center since I knew there would be good shots. I knew the raw emotion and chaos would enhance my photos that weekend. Ultimately while I was in the protest I changed my motives and looked for photos of individual faces and human connection within the crowd. This created a strong portfolio of full of emotion and power that would have been hard to replicate through my initial goal.
